My Homemade Yogurt Recipe

How to make Homemade Yogurt?

Do you know, homemade yogurt can make easy and cheap (with a family of 4 we go through a lot of yogurt).
It is my favorite breakfast and good for health. All you need is milk and yogurt for active. No need to use yogurt maker machine at all.

Ingredients :
  • 1 quart milk (you can use low fat or not-fat milk if you care about your weight)
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt.

Instruction:
  1. Heat milk in pot just warm (about 185 ° ) Do not boil to foam. Stirring frequently(add sugar if you like sweet).
  2. Remove pot milk from heat and let cool (about 110 °)
  3. Place yogurt in a medium bowl.
  4. Gradually pour warm milk, about 1/2 cup at a time.
  5. Stirring with a whisk (but I use fork, it worked, too)
  6. You can add fruit in the ingredient, if you like.
  7. Stirring until smooth. Then cover bowl with plastic wrap, poking two or three holes for ventilation.
  8. Place bow at a warm place (about 90°) such as in room tempperature (but not in winter) about 5 hours. Until milk begins to thicken around edges then it done
  9. Transfer yogurt in a covered container and keep in refrigerator. This could keep for 2 weeks.

Note
:
  • Reserve at least 1/4 cup of this yogurt to begin next batch.
  • You can both eat and apply this homemade yogurt for facial mask :)
