My Homemade Yogurt Recipe

How to make Homemade Yogurt?

Do you know, homemade yogurt can make easy and cheap (with a family of 4 we go through a lot of yogurt).
It is my favorite breakfast and good for health. All you need is milk and yogurt for active. No need to use yogurt maker machine at all.

Ingredients :
  • 1 quart milk (you can use low fat or not-fat milk if you care about your weight)
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt.

Instruction:
  1. Heat milk in pot just warm (about 185 ° ) Do not boil to foam. Stirring frequently(add sugar if you like sweet).
  2. Remove pot milk from heat and let cool (about 110 °)
  3. Place yogurt in a medium bowl.
  4. Gradually pour warm milk, about 1/2 cup at a time.
  5. Stirring with a whisk (but I use fork, it worked, too)
  6. You can add fruit in the ingredient, if you like.
  7. Stirring until smooth. Then cover bowl with plastic wrap, poking two or three holes for ventilation.
  8. Place bow at a warm place (about 90°) such as in room tempperature (but not in winter) about 5 hours. Until milk begins to thicken around edges then it done
  9. Transfer yogurt in a covered container and keep in refrigerator. This could keep for 2 weeks.

Note
:
  • Reserve at least 1/4 cup of this yogurt to begin next batch.
  • You can both eat and apply this homemade yogurt for facial mask :)

My Mango Margarita recipe

(Why Mango? Just because I like it)

Simple mango margarita recipe. It is easy. You no need to have bartender degree. It's good for relax or refresh after hard work all day.

This is the recipe that I like to use. It is for 1 serving.

Ingredient :
  • 1 medium size mango.
  • 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
  • 1 ounce tequila
  • Ice
  • Coarse salt (to coat rim of glass)
Instruction:
  • Peel and Slice the mango.
  • Then combine the slices mango, lime juice and syrup in a cocktail mixing glass and muddle well.
  • Add the Cointreau and tequila and shake well with ice.
  • Strain into a chilled, salted cocktail glass.

My Simple Homemade Salsa sauce Recipe


I like spicy food. Salsa sauce is not hard to make at home. I always make it a lot and keep it in refrigerator. It delicious for many food such as hamburger, sandvice, stake or use to be base of pasta sauce just add some mushroom and beef, etc. Or just eat with flour chip for snack.

Ingredient :
  • 4 tomatoes, peeled and chopped in dice of fine, depend on your like
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped garlic (Some people does not like garlic you can remove this ingredient from your list)
  • 1/4 cup chilli for mild salsa (1/2 cup chilli if you like spicy )
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of oregano, crushed
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instruction:
  1. Boil everything in pot with medium heat about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Remove pot from stove, wait until warm
  3. Transfer salsa sauce in close container and keep in refrigerator.

Note :
  • This is just basic salsa. You can add other ingredient depend on your taste such as marinated olives, ovocado, thyme, basil, rosemary or even fruit like mango.

My Applesauce Recipe

There is nothing to compare with homemade applesauce. It's fresh, delicious, good for health and easy to prepare. I always made its a lot and keep in

Ingredients for Makes 3 cups:
  • 4 medium size apples
  • 1/2 cup lemon juiced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup sugar


How to make apple sauce :
  1. Peeled, cored and sliced apples.
  2. Boil water in pot or saucepan until heat
  3. Put apples, sugar, and lemon juice.
  4. Boil over low heat until apples are very soft, stirring occasionally about 20 minutes. Apples can crush easy by itself,
  5. Remove saucepan from heat. Transfer apples to in a covered container and keep in refrigerator.
  6. If you would like you can add cinnamon or nutmeg about 1/2 cup.
  7. Serve warm or cold in plain or with yogurt.
Note :
  • This recipe can keep in refrigerator about 3 days.
  • I added lemon juice because I think only sugar is too sweet.

My Mint Tea Recipe (with lemon)

After work hard all day I used to drink mint tea for refresh. It is easy to prepare in 3-5 minutes. With something that you always have in your kitchen.


Ingredients :
  • ½ teaspoon tea or 1 bag
  • ½ teaspoon mint leaves
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or brown sugar
  • 2-3 lemon
  • Ice, if you like ice tea

Instructions :
  1. Boil water.
  2. Put tea and mint leaves in a scalded teapot.
  3. Pour boiling water over the leaves.
  4. Allow to stand 3 minutes.
  5. Strain before serving.
  6. Add honey or sugar and 2-3 drips of lemon. If you like.
  7. You can serve in both hot or cold (add some ice).

Caution :

Do not put too much mint leave. Your tea will be too harsh to taste. (-_-" I have already tasted it.)


Note :
  • Because I like mint so I grew it in a little flowerpot. Then I can pluck it fresh every time I want to use it. However, you can buy mint sprigs from market. Put its in some container with water and place the container in refrigerator. It can be fresh for week.
  • You can use both honey or brown sugar depend on your personal taste. Honey could clean your inner organ , help you relax and easy to sleep.
  • As for brown sugar, I always use brown sugar because it nutrients more than pure white sugar, which is essentially has no flavor other than sweetness.
  • Lemons have high vitamin C content and contain unique flavonoid compounds that have antioxidant and anti-cancer properties. (For I myself, I just like the taste of lemon. So, I added it in tea).

Don't forget about winter so soon. Sure, the weather is warming up right now.
